This urchin is uncommon in Hawaii and is mostly found in the Indo-Pacific. This one was located about 35 feet in sand/gravel. From the surface it looked like a hubcap, a large sand dollar, or an unusual starfish. The spines weren’t noticeable until I dived to take a closer look.
Metal Print: Dye sublimation process using heat and pressure on aluminum. Three-quarter inch float mount hanger on back. Clean with wet or dry soft cloth, no cleaning solution.
